OK, so my wardrobe is pretty plain jane guys. All you will find in there is black, white, more black and some grey. & if there is any colour in there it isn't going to stand out. I don't hate coloured clothes by the way, colours do work! I just simply find that whenever I try it on, it doesn't work for me! Haha. I have bought coloured things in the past but I will most likely have only worn it once before shoving it to the back of the drawers and never seeing it again. Who feels me? It's just personal preference. The colours that I am happy to wear however, are the classic neutral shades. A bit of camel, a bit of beige.. ooh and some nudes. Yes, some may still consider this a tad bit boring but i'm a simple girl.. I like it! & with khaki being a big staple for AW14 I am super happy that I can get my
hands on more things this colour!
The best thing about it is that its such a versatile colour which works well throughout all seasons and looks great on all skin tones. Pair it up with some black or white leather or even some ripped denim. *ufff*
Here are some outfits I put together for some khaki inspo! (all current stock) Enjoy!
LOOK 1
This look has a very casual feel to it and are all staple wardrobe items. Perfect for the daytime, but the right pair of heels could easily make this more dressy.
LOOK 2
Slightly edgier than look 1 and would look amazing with lace up heels! But theres ways to tone it down if you prefer. Try some white slip on vans/pumps and a black midi cardi!
What do you think girls? Anyone else in love with this colour? Let me know below!

I used to wear colors a lot but now I tend to lean towards the neutral side; lots of blacks, creams, and grays only because they're pieces that I can wear over and over. I love the khaki obsession by the way!
ReplyDeleteI am totally with you there! It's all about shopping for items that are more versatile and I find that those colours work best for me! Thankyou :) Do you blog?

I don't wear much colour either... khaki is definitely a great neutral. I love pairing it with white!

Constantly wearing black, grey and white at the mo, I have tried to integrate some khaki in there. It's just so easy to wear!

It's definitely a safe colour :)
DeleteBlack and white is always a safe way to go and i like it too, but i think it´s just like wallpaper. Once you try some color it´s kind fun.

Haha, never heard it put that way before. I get what you mean though, still find colours something as out of my comfort zone ><

It took me a long time to go from all black to wearing colors. I slowly went to white and grey and took it from there. Now I am very comfortable in almost any color but khaki is still a littly scary to me. Don't get me wrong, I love the color and it would probably suit me but I haven't found the right piece for me yet.
